Laurie Smith-FraileyLaurie Smith-Frailey, MSLIS, CSA, has been a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers since 2005, and established Checknowledgy LLC in January 2006.

Prior to that, for nearly 15 years, she handled all day-to-day operations of two small businesses — handling budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, federal and state tax depositing, year‑end forms (W‑2s, W‑3s, 1099s), and more. Her experience caring for seniors’ financial matters began with her own parents in 2005, and through them she developed a special affection for our elder population.

Laurie is highly proficient technically, is a ridiculously analytical thinker, and has been a Quicken user for 30 years. She holds a B.A. in mathematics from Mount Holyoke College, and an M.S. in library and information science from Simmons College. She is a member of:
